If you have never been able to record a demo disc that you could afford,then you have finally found the right place.
Here at Woodies we work closely with our guests during all recording sessions.
It should be fun,you can record as many tracks as you like but don't expect to record large amounts in one day, unless you are well rehearsed and fit enough.You can take as long as you like, the main thing is to relax and have fun singing it's your time.
If you are going to use backing tracks please bring them on either CD or Mini Disk,or we can locate them for you.
Once the songs have been recorded and everybody is happy with the end results we will then mix and balance the songs ready for your CD to take home.
Sometimes we will mix these songs another day.
Singing especially under pressure is very tiring on the day,try to avoid drinking coffee as it
tightens up the vocal chords which really does'nt help you.
At all times we will try to guide you to a great recording that you will be proud of.A lot of singers prefer to sing in the afternoon,especially after gigging the night before
Some people only take a couple of runs to record the vocal,some will do several takes.It is really up to the band or artist. For those who have only recorded the vocal at home or in a live situation, some will find it quite strange to actually hear your voice. Pitching is critical as you will hear every blemish! Some really like the experience some don't.
Trouble with words never mind write them down and use a music stand. It is not a gig so you dont have to worry about image issues
